I have just spent £150,224.76 on a monster server.
However I have been told not to unleash the beast untill all the old regulars come back.
This is so they can be there for the monsters release.
I can not help it if your away when its done.

On the topic of the overly biased maps, I am thinking Assault/Tides you could make a teamswap on half time OR half win. It's important that it switches at whichever comes first (e.g. A team could win before half time is reached).

It's a good idea but some things like this are really difficult to implement on multiplay / clanforge.

If someone has a link to a script, plugin, or mani setting then it can be done.

think out mani used to do it though as a map vote option or an admin option, used to atleast make things more interesting

I am pretty sure I saw it as a vote option but that means the map will be extended.

I found these:
http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?p=560574
https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=75722

Unfortunately, I have never done any server script manipulation so I am not sure how hard it would be to implement these. The only issue is that one plugin swaps on half time the other on half win. I guess the half time switch is better. I don't remember a map being over by a team winning in less than half time.

I have to say that the CPC server is one of my favourite servers and I have been a regular for close to 2 years now. I remember hating the the team selection being on Auto but have now got so used to it that I automatically (pun intended) auto select team on all servers I play, just got use to hitting the return key and then the number 5, lol.

I think the regulars are a good bunch of dudes & dudettes, and that goes a long way to help in making a server enjoyable to play on. My only minor gripe is that the admins do not take a more active role in ensuring the smooth running of the server during gameplay - now please don't get upset admins as this is meant as constructive criticism. I was an admin on my old clan server so appreciate how time consuming it can be at times - So if some player logs on who is being disruptive such as attacking/flashing team mates then they should be kicked a bit quicker than is currently happening.

Also, if it is clear someone is cheating then they should be kicked and banned and referred to the forum for an explanation and to defend themselves. I know it can be hard sometimes to differentiate between a cheater and an extremely good player but there are tell-tale signals, in some instances, and at the end of the day it is up to the cheater/good player to prove/argue their point and not up to the rest of us to provide proof before they can be kicked & banned.

If they have done nothing wrong then they should be able to eloquently argue their corner - equally, if they have done something wrong then they need to eat some humble pie and an apology and guarantee of ceasing wouldn't go amiss either. My point is that admins should instantly kick & ban and any evidence/discussion/working out can be resolved on the forum. I think you will find that most are cheats and most are folk that have not been seen on the server before and therefore will not be bothered in arguing their case as they will just move on, which is good for us as it is no great loss. And good for the game in play as it means the disruptiveness is nipped in the bud so we can get back to enjoying the game.

Those that do take the time to argue their case should be dealt with respectively and given every opportunity for an explanation/apology etc. as these folk will generally want to play and come back to the server - the fact they take the time to argue their case is usually proof of that - and again this is good for us.

I hope you can take what I have said in a positive and constructive light and perhaps have a look into it. On the whole the CPC is good place to play. We have fun most of the time and to be honest I don't think I have ever heard any of the regulars having any kind of serious squabble amongst ourselves and have only noted serious arguments when some new (unknown) player is taking the piss - this is an awesome achievement in itself and all admins and regulars should be proud that we have such a fun community to let off steam (lol pun again) on a bloody good server with a great bunch of dudes and dudettes. Thanks!

The second one of those looks interesting. Doesn't look like you can switch it on or off for certain maps though.

Tbh I don't think it would be bad to have it on all maps.

My first post :)

All in all, it's a great community to play with and a great bunch of fun regulars with a good mix of serious players you can really learn from and some jokers you can have fun with. I've been coming back every night for almost a year now and rarely play elsewhere.

Whatever was done with the map-cycle recently was much appreciated as we tended to play the same maps at the same time every night, which was getting a little repetitive. I knew if i logged on around 4pm, then Dust would be up, followed by Piranesi and we'd often only have 4/5 per side with it being so early. Makes a nice change to have some different maps around peak-time!

Only suggestion i can bring is the re-introduction of custom-map night (sunday?) and a wider variety of custom-maps if that occurs (not Delta_Mill, Cpl_Mill etc! :D ) Would freshen things up and keep it interesting :)
