Wasn't the problem with custom map night that people voted the same maps constantly?


There are a lot of things which are really hard to automate using clanforge, and time scheduled maplists is one of them.

I was happy to run the custom nights but after spending quite some time finding half playable, full textured maps with minimal exploits it grew tiresome with all the moaning. The odd moan here and there is to be expected but it often got to the point where I thought I wont bother. As Rogan has pointed out, we are quite restricted in what we can automate using Clanforge.

I think Puk has the full list of maps that are available posted somewhere on the interwebs, maybe if he can post a link and anyone that wants to have a look at what is available and fire suggestions my way can do so.

I asked multiplay for that list a few months ago, Cavey and I generally play a lot of customs during weekend afternoons and they go down well.

Fu if you would require i'd happily chat with you over which maps seem to be popular and perhaps we can come to an understanding over customs to a degree, perhaps one night a month, or weekends etc, anyhow, there is a lot of shit maps in that list due to sharing them with gungame, zombie, paintball etc. I have made quite a good shortlist out of that gross amount.

Lo..played a custom map after afew months off (5 or 6) and it aint the maps that are the issue still , it`s the reg!(bollocx its the shitty server) when a custom map is on...ie night fever i think! all the pings shot up! 20-50+ not playable! All you get is round a corner and wack! boo! bang dead!

Bollocks! tbh, aint having ago at any fuckwit here, but CPC have blown my trust! i know where they are now but... ffs... and Green don`t even start with that uber server you have :P

Don`t get me wrong i want to have a GG with you all but this shit put`s me right of...

think theres more clout here to moan than on there new forum, tbf!

TBH right custom pc yeah?

nowt custom about laying out a half arsed server is there? i cancelled my subscription moon`s ago!it`s all wrong they should be trying to win players back.... no offence meant here Rogan etc...just voicing my opinon (right or wrong) :thumright:

Wow cavey, that is a huge list. I set up de_thematrix_11 on my old clan server and that was quite popular. It plays really well and has got some nice extras to it such as "bullet time", an excellent elevator which can be fun and strategic at the same time and not to mention the whole map looks so damn kewl.

So it would be nice to see that added on the custom night.

BTW, has a day and time been set yet for custom night - I remeber it being on Thursdays but being a stoner I may have got that wrong... LoL :D

I have notice this.
The scores/min on multiplay seem to separate into two groups- some players on ~6 and others on ~4.

Very black & white.

Interesting.
