The TF2 Server - How's it going?

The TF2 Server - How's it going?

Postby Rogan » Fri Dec 05, 2008 7:54 pm

The new Official CPC TF2 server is up at 85.236.101.92:29360

Server is set to 24 players, full maplist, and that's about it so far.

It needs admins and settings, so I guess we're looking for both ATM.

Thoughts?

Hi Rogan,

I used to be an Admin on the CSS CPC server. Would like to help on the tf2 server. Think maybe a smaller map list and map voting would bring more players in. I would recommend goldrush, Dustbowl and Badwater.

Regards

Hi Rogz,

Still can't PM you the body of the message is not visable.
What have you setup ? should I be able to use admin commands on the server ? What will I be able to do on the Multiplay website? Do I need to FTP the server to alter configs.
Regards

Dingle

I've just been in chat with Fu and he told me about this server.....that could be a problem, it's just not well known!

I'm happy to start "idling" in it instead of the CSS server, but maybe a CPC community message or two would help...

Oh right, you just log in through clanforge and the server is right there. I haven't set anything up on it yet, no admins etc. I can do that if you like.

Probably easier if you add me on steam. I'm in the mods bit of the CPC group.

Yeah that's probably a good idea. I didn't want to make much of it yet as it's not set up, there are no admins, etc.

In the few days i've been looking at it since i got the mag at the weekend, i havent seen a single person online. Seems it gets stuck on arena maps forever, since noone joins no maps start and no maps therefore change.

Changing maps to cp_ and pl_ would be better, and of course active admins etc.

Of course this is my first post etc, but hopefully after playing a few matches i could help moderate the server. I just hope i can have some good games on the cpc server!

I'll spend some time setting it up tomorrow. Maybe just leave it playing goldrush or something.

[EDIT]

It's on granary/goldrush/badwater now. Possibly not in that order.

3 second respawn.

Installed mani and ported over admins from the CSS server

That sounds better, obviously try to expand map list, and make respawn time a little longer: 5-10 seconds should be good.

Having Mani will help ALOT.

Thanks!~

I could always set an end of round vote.

OK I did that and set respawn to 5 secs.

8.30 Sunday. (4/1/09)

See how it goes.

More the merrier.
