Counter Strike recently turned 8 years old, so feeling the nostalgia, I have set up a CS 1.6 server at the following IP and port:

85.234.148.100:27025

It is running classic maps from the yesteryear of counter strike so you may find yourself having to download the maps.

Quick question: Would anyone be prepared to download older CS versions (1.3 most likely) for a truly authentic experience? Let me know in the forum.

i would d/l 1.3 as i have never played it.

sadly the 1.3ness may not be possible since none of the places I was anticipating getting it from work now. Still 1.6 is running and I'll figure out a way to disable the shield too.

I'd like to play 1.6 with 1.3 maps.

siege - tundra - rotterdam - thunder - etc.

Old maps (1.3 vintage) only, no new ones.

I would play it just for seige and rotterdam! But I lost my half life CD key about 5 years ago!

Maybe time to re-purchase!

I think you also get retroactive ownership if you have HL2, according to Steam.
